Gluten-Free Primal Zucchini Pasta

The common misconception in the “diet” world is that healthy is boring; and, if it’s not boring, cooking healthy definitely takes up most of your time.

Given I’ve been following a primal diet based off the Dolce Diet principles for several years now, I can say with utter honesty that this is completely false.

Believe it or not, the basis of a great diet that’s going to get and keep you shredded quickly (lower carb, fresh produce, clean proteins, and healthy fats) is super easy to stick to and takes minimal effort with just a few ingredient swaps.

Take, for instance, pasta: toss out that processed, high-carb white pasta, replace it with zucchini “noodles,” and you have a super quick base for a complete pasta dish that’s gluten-free, dairy-free, and filled with nourishing superfoods … like the one below.

Gluten-Free Primal Zucchini Pasta

This gluten-free pasta recipe has a million pros and no cons. It’s low in carbs, dairy-free, high in protein and healthy fats as well as antioxidants to help with recovery, and also takes minimal ingredients and time to prep. After a long day, this is crucial since most of us typically want a high-quality meal prepped at home … but also have minimal energy to be in the kitchen for hours.

Here we’re using no more than 5 ingredients, one of them being a Primal Kitchen pasta sauce for an even quicker sauce option. You can choose your custom flavor as well if you have a preference. Also, if you’ve never used avocado oil, I highly recommend giving it a try as it’s high in vitamin E and an overload of healthy fats. Plus, unlike other oils, it stands high heat cooking extremely well without degrading, which is important to avoid damaging our cells and preventing aging.

Gluten-Free Primal Zucchini Pasta



• 2 zucchini, spiralized

• 1 Jar Primal Kitchen Marinara Sauce

• 1 lb Italian Spiced Pork Sausage

• 1 Clove Garlic

• 4 Tbsp of Primal Kitchen Avocado Oil

• 2 Tbsp of Rawmesan

• 1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning



Step 1: Cook sausage at medium heat and chop into small pieces. Lower heat to a bit below medium and let cook while you prepare noodles.

Step 2: Rinse both zucchini and spiralize using a spiralizer.

Step 3: Mince garlic clove and cook on medium heat in 4 tablespoons of avocado oil for 1 minute.

Step 4: Cook noodles in oil and garlic on medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning.

Step 5: Check sausage and continue to give one last smashing to smaller pieces then add jar of marinara sauce and cook on medium heat for 4-6 minutes.

Step 6: Plate noodles and add sauce.

Step 7: Put a tablespoon or two of the Rawmesan on top and enjoy!
